About the event
Traditional raku firing along with the option for Obvara ("bread" or "Baltic Raku") dip technique producing a unique brown, black and white pattern upon cooling and offers a non-smoke alternative to traditional raku. Horsehair or feather Raku is a technique of decoration where organic material is draped on white hot pottery creating carbonized trails in the process. All wear in raku will be non-functional and used solely for decoration.
