Kiln Yard Team!
We are firing Soda Calcifer, Roxanne Rocket and Pele Reduction kilns to Cone 10 & 6.
The Kilns:
Our reduction kiln is an Olympic DD9 Down Draft kiln. We fire with propane gas for our reduction firing.
Our Soda Kiln was custom designed by Jon Kevin Blackburn.
And a custom Rocket Kiln built on site by Lisa Orr.
Our Limits:
The Kiln Yard reduction firings do not include bisque firing, slips or glazes. This is a community space and we are not responsible for misfires, imperfections, breakage, slumping or defects due to the unpredictable nature of reduction firing.
