Clacifer, is our Extra large Soda kiln. At 26 sq feet, you be amazed how much work it holds! Designed by
Washington Potter John Blackburn, this large kiln is a delight to fire with good soda coverage and large areas of
reduction throughout. Built of soft brick it fires effecent and even. For this kiln Spray application is the way to go.
Roxanne, is our latest addition to the kiln yard. This wood fired
Rocket Kiln is the brilliant design of Lisa Orr. In Fall of 2026 Lisa came to the Kiln Yard to help us build and fire this wonder of Heat and physics! The kiln burn so efficiently, there is no smoke from the chimney. This little wonder will gobble up fuel and in a few hours achive your target temperature , wether its cone 6 or 10! Gather your pals cause the more the merrier to help stoke this beautiful little kiln.
This kiln likes to fire oxidation but with a few adjustments reduction can be achieved.
